This role is essential to building structure, improving accuracy, and driving efficiency across Hydra Host’s growing financial systems.Role Overview The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the daily management of accounting activities, including general ledger integrity, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This is a highly operational role ideal for an experienced accountant who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building and improving accounting processes from the ground up. You’ll be Hydra Host’s go-to accounting leader — rolling up your sleeves to ensure accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence as we continue to scale worldwide.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Day-to-Day Accounting: Manage all general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and quarter-end close processes, preparing timely and accurate financial statements.</li><li>Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee billing, collections, vendor payments, and expense reporting with precision and efficiency.</li><li>Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Maintain reconciliations for all key accounts, ensuring financial integrity across global entities.</li><li>Revenue & Cost Tracking: Support revenue recognition and cost allocation linked to infrastructure operations, datacenter leases, and hardware spend.</li><li>Process Improvements: Streamline accounting workflows and introduce automation to improve accuracy, speed, and scalability.</li><li>Compliance: Ensure adherence to GAAP standards and internal controls while coordinating with tax and audit partners as needed.</li><li>Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to align financial processes with operational realities.</li><li>Reporting & Documentation: Maintain clear, organized documentation and assist in preparing management reports and audit support schedules.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or similar credential preferred)</li><li>5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including experience in fast-paced or scaling organizations</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles</li><li>Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms)</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail</li><li>Experience with multi-entity or international accounting is a plus</li><li>Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently in a distributed team environment</li><li>Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset</li></ul>Why Join Hydra Host?<ul><li>Take ownership of the accounting function in a rapidly scaling global technology company</li><li>Work directly with leadership to build and refine financial systems and reporting structures</li><li>Be at the center of operations supporting a $200M+ marketplace for high-performance infrastructure</li><li>Competitive salary, equity, and benefits</li><li>Fully remote role with flexible hours and regular company offsites</li></ul> Salary: 80000 - 115000 USD Per annum
