We have 200K+ downloads, a Series A backed by Khosla Ventures, Scott Belsky, and Jeffrey Katzenberg, and now we need a senior full-stack engineer to build the consumer web apps, internal production tools, and CMS that power everything!If you want to build consumer facing websites millions of consumers will be streaming content along with our proprietary AI content generation pipeline - this is both of those jobs.<h2>About TrueShort</h2>TrueShort is an AI-native streaming platform producing cinematic, serialized true crime content for mobile. We pair proprietary AI video production tools with a team of filmmakers and engineers to create binge-worthy series at a pace and cost traditional studios can't touch.We're also building GoodWatch — a streaming app for kids with the same AI-native approach.<h2>What You'll Do</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Build consumer-facing web apps for TrueShort and GoodWatch — streaming, discovery, subscriptions, the full experience</li><li>Build internal production tools — the proprietary AI video pipeline our content team uses to create entire series. This is some of the most interesting work at the company.</li><li>Build and maintain the CMS that manages content distribution across our apps</li><li>Work across the backend — streaming infrastructure, APIs, content delivery — you'll be close to the full pipeline</li><li>Shape the product — in a 10-person company, engineers aren't just implementers. You'll influence what we build and how.</li><li>Push the boundaries of AI-assisted development — we're building an AI studio and we develop like one</li></ul><h2>What We're Looking For</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Strong frontend skills in React / Next.js — you should be fast and opinionated here</li><li>Solid backend experience, ideally with AWS services (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CloudWatch) or similar cloud-native stacks</li><li>Experience building internal tools and dashboards — you enjoy making other teams more productive</li><li>Comfort working across the stack when needed — backend, infra, data pipelines</li><li>An eye for UX — you care about what the user actually experiences, not just whether the code compiles</li><li>Self-directed, fast-moving, and comfortable with ambiguity — this is a startup, not a spec factory</li><li>Genuine interest and experience in AI as both a product domain and a development tool</li><li>We care about what you can build, not how many years are on your résumé.</li></ul><h2>The Stack</h2>Frontend: Next.js, ReactBackend: AWS Amplify (Lambda, AppSync, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CloudWatch)Mobile: Android (Kotlin) — you won't own this, but you'll work alongside itAI tooling: Whatever works best — Claude, Cursor, Codex, you name it<h2>Why TrueShort</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Unusually wide scope.
