It provides practical, evidence‑based information, advice and one‑to‑one support for parents and carers, covering topics from everyday parenting challenges to highly sensitive and complex issues.</span></p><p><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">The service is shaped closely with frontline practitioners and parent coaches, and content is continuously tested and improved using insight, feedback and real parent needs.</span></p><p><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>About content design</strong></span></p><p><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Content design at Action for Children is about designing content that genuinely works for people. It combines user research, clear language, accessibility and iteration to make complex or sensitive information understandable, usable and supportive.</span></p><p><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Content design goes beyond writing. You’ll shape whole content journeys, set standards, influence ways of working and help teams across the charity produce content that meets user needs and organisational goals.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Working with sensitive content</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">The subject matter covered by Parent Talk can be complex, personal and sensitive. You’ll regularly pair‑write with parent coaches and so this role requires listening, care, judgement and professionalism when shaping content together.</span><br><br><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>How you'll help to create brighter futures</strong> </span></p><ul style="list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 24px;"><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Develop, own and oversee the content strategy, governance, style guidance and roadmap for Parent Talk. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Lead the content development process with the Parent Talk team, parent coaches and subject matter experts. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Work with the product manager to plan and deliver user research with parents to ensure content meets real needs and supports a positive user experience. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Develop and lead the approach to accessibility and inclusion for a diverse parenting audience. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Use research, analytics and feedback to evaluate and continuously improve content. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Line manage, and support content designers, providing clear direction, feedback and development. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders across Media, Policy, Children’s Services and Digital. </span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Champion content design best practice across Action for Children, helping teams understand how good content improves outcomes for children, young people and families.</span></p></li></ul><p><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif;"><strong>Let's talk about you</strong>  </span></p><p style="margin-top: 12pt;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">You’ll have <strong>demonstrable experience working in content design at a senior level</strong>, or a <strong>recognised content design qualification</strong> alongside substantial practical experience.</span></p><p style="margin-top: 12pt;"><span style="color: black; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Previous line management experience and confidence supporting others’ development.</span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Experience using user research, analytics and insight to evaluate and improve content.</span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt; margin-right: 0cm; margin-top: 0cm;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Arial, sans-serif;">Experience training or coaching colleagues in content design principles and ways of working.</span></p></li><li><p style="margin-bottom: 5pt;
