Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer – White Glove (Remote)

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer (Remote) to lead white glove support for customers adopting cloud solutions as part of VA’s Data Modernization initiative. This position will be fully remote located within the United States. Responsibilities <ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Help VA users get over the technology hump by getting them access to the data and delivering the appropriate business requirements</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Act as subject matter experts to the workgroups from start to finish in their migration to the cloud</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Fully build out a best practices knowledge base for in which all workgroups can benefit</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Attend and actively respond to workgroup questions on weekly feedback and center of excellence calls</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Help workgroups set up their resources and migrate their work loads</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with the on-prem teams to decommission the necessary resources after migrations have been completed</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Report accomplishments to internal leadership to help show outcomes and benefits gained from provided dedicated support</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Collaborate with cloud architects, engineers, and system owners to ensure technical deliverables meet program requirements and timelines. </li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Manage competing priorities, handle research and response for all product line operations related data calls and provide ongoing progress reports. </li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Manage parallel projects under a complex program while also providing cross functional program level support. </li></ul> Qualifications Required Skills and Experience:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology, Engineering, or technical discipline plus 12 years of experience; years of experience can be substituted for the degree requirement </li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Experience in managing projects in the Department of Veterans Affairs </li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Experience in the Healthcare IT field </li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Expertise with Azure or other major cloud platforms.</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Experience with Databricks workspace administration, catalog creation, mount configurations, and cluster setup.</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Strong knowledge and experience with data lake architectures, especially Delta Lake or similar structured storage solutions.</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Experience automating cloud provisioning workflows (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, Python).</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams.</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Strong documentation practices and experience building standard operating procedures.</li><li style="color: black; margin-bottom: 0in; font-size: 10pt;">Experience in creating and presenting executive summary presentations. </li></ul> Preferred Skills and Experience:<ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li style="color: black;
