This role can be based full-time in our office in Bend, OR or fully remote. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.Job Description:<div><div>*This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned Position Responsibilities and Duties: </div><div><ul><li>Execute the design and development of SCADA integration components and systems for utility scale renewable energy projects including Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems </li><li>Work within a team environment to define and implement product design standards and best practices that align with company goals and objectives. </li><li>Review and implements project-specific requirements for assigned scope. </li><li>Generate device points lists, HMI mockups & assets, commissioning test plans and completion checklists, utilizing company defined documentation and standards. </li><li>Program and commission SCADA servers, data historians, and HMI systems. </li><li>Review project closeout documentation including commissioning documents, as-built drawings, operator manuals and training material to verify all contractual deliverables have been met. </li><li>Provide intermediate level technical support for diverse SCADA equipment configurations. </li><li>Participate in technical discussions with customers and partners. </li><li>Assist with maintaining a centralized knowledge base. </li><li>Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting of complex plant monitoring and control systems.  </li><li>Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support. </li><li>Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization. </li><li>Collaborate with cross functional teams where necessary to support platform development and data integration. </li><li>Provide project status reports to the OTS project management team, support risk mitigation measures as needed to maintain project goals and objectives. </li><li>Promote and adhere to a culture of NERC compliance and governance with respect to programming and commissioning standards, documentation, reporting, knowledge transfer and training. </li><li>Support the SOLV Operations center as necessary for project integrations and handoffs. </li></ul></div></div><div><div> Objectives or Goals to Measure Performance: </div><div><ul><li>Maintaining design, programming, documentation and commissioning standards </li><li>Maintain resiliency and continuity within our system independent of key knowledge holders </li><li>Adherence to Company policies and procedures </li><li>Successful execution of project scope, schedule, and budget</li><li>Understanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practices </li><li>Customer/client satisfaction and retention </li><li>Improved personal professional growth and education </li><li>Employee satisfaction and retention </li><li>Positive team-focused attitude </li><li>Promote a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing </li><li>Effective utilization of project management, scheduling, and task management tools </li></ul></div><div>Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements: </div></div><div><div><ul><li>2 - 4 years of SCADA engineering experience (experience working within renewable energy including; industrial or utility scale PV solar, BESS, or Wind desired). Proficiency with programming languages including Python. </li><li>Intermediate working knowledge of Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA platform. </li><li>Intermediate working knowledge of relational databases, and SCADA applications. </li><li>Familiarity with industry recognized PLC equipment including but not limited to Schweitzer Engineering RTAC Platform, Allen Bradley Control / CompactLogix platform, GE / Emerson RX3i, or similar “named variable” PLC environments. </li><li>Familiar with the installation and commissioning of SCADA networks using; Fiber Optics, Serial RS-232 / RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP. </li><li>Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols including but not limited to; Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and DA. </li><li>Proficiency in reading and developing diagrams and schematics including but not limited to, power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical and civil layouts. </li><li>Ability to work with sub-contractors and field personnel. </li><li>Proficiency with various project management, scheduling, and task management tools. </li><li>Excellent Communication Skills. </li></ul></div><div> Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.SOLV Energy Is an Equal Opportunity EmployerAt SOLV Energy we celebrate the power of our differences.
