We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who can design and deliver robust systems, influence technical direction, and collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex problems. This role is ideal for an engineer who combines strong technical depth with product thinking, someone who can own systems end-to-end and drive high-quality execution in fast-paced environments. <h3>What You’ll Do</h3> <ul> <li> Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems and services </li> <li> Own end-to-end development—from architecture and design through implementation, testing, and deployment </li> <li> Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deliver user-centric solutions </li> <li> Lead technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions </li> <li> Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices </li> <li> Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and scalability challenges </li> <li> Mentor junior engineers and contribute to raising the overall engineering bar </li> <li> Drive code quality through reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices </li> <li> Participate in on-call rotations and support production systems as needed </li> </ul> <h3>What We’re Looking For</h3> <ul> <li> 5+ years of professional software engineering experience </li> <li> Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go) </li> <li> Experience building and scaling distributed systems or backend services </li> <li> Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms </li> <li> Experience working with APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure </li> <li> Ability to break down complex problems and deliver practical, scalable solutions </li> <li> Strong collaboration and communication skills</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li> Experience in marketplace or platform-based companies</li> <li> Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) </li> <li> Experience with frontend frameworks (React, Vue) is a plus </li> <li> Background in high-growth or startup environments </li> <li> Experience improving system performance, reliability, and developer productivity</li></ul> <ul></ul> <h3>Key Details</h3> <ul><li> Start Date: May 12, 2026 (or ASAP) </li><li> Duration: 1 year, with possibility of extension </li><li> Location: Remote (U.S.-based) </li><li> Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week) </li><li> Work Type: Contract (W2) </li><li> Compensation: $110-$145 per hour</li></ul>
