Compensation The base salary for this role ranges between $ 51,440 - $ 70,730, with eligibility for an incentive target of $12,600.00 which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives. The pay range above is not a guarantee of compensation but reflects the potential total compensation for this role at the time of this posting based on the assigned job grade. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as geographic work location, relevant experience and individual skills. The stated range is a reasonable estimate and may change over time; final compensation may fall above or below the range provided. Position Summary: The Inside Development Representative (IDR) is responsible for maximizing and growing revenue and profits by acquiring new business throughout Canada. The focus of this role will be prospecting the leads generated from our channel network (Branch, Customer Service, Web), identifying customers’ needs and aligning them to Grainger’s products, solutions, and services accordingly. Job Responsibilities (You Will): <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Prospect new business through a mix of reactive and proactive activity</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Identify customers’ needs to promote Grainger value on every call</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Conduct customer conversations that include: <ul style="list-style-type:circle"> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Needs analysis</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Identify buyer roles / decision makers</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Determine account complexity (buying behavior, employees, industry)</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Active positioning of pricing offers</li> </ul> </li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Prioritize and qualify leads from intake channels to determine viability and assist with customer journey</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Work cross functionally with partners from our Customer Service Center, Branch, and eCommerce team</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Coordinate new sold to creation with Financial Services</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Ensure continuous and strategic management of a new prospect pipeline that drives progress across multiple accounts</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Utilize tools to track the progress and outcomes</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Segment customers based on size to determine next steps and ownership</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Effectively transition qualified prospects to our Commercial or National Sales team based on an understanding of account complexity and buying criteria</li> </ul> Education/Experience (You Have): <ul style="margin-bottom:11.0px"> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">1-3 years of experience in related field preferred.</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">An assertive personality, high energy level and resilient character</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, phone)</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">A high level of integrity in all business dealings</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Strong time management and organization skills</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Proven record of effectively influencing without authority</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Customer service and telemarketing experience is an asset</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Ability to rapidly build knowledge of Grainger’s product lines</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Understand and use basic selling techniques: opening, probing, presentation, over-coming objections</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Having a drive and passion for sales</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Competitive drive with a constant desire to meet and/or exceed targets</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Possessing a high desire to excel without accepting mediocrity</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Thinks critically and creatively; has out-of-the-box thinking</li> <li style="text-align:justify;font-size:12.0pt">Bilingual French is an asset</li> </ul> #LI-KG1 Rewards and Benefits: Our programs provide choice and flexibility to meet your individual needs.
