You will have an opportunity to work with an energetic, passionate team that is committed to growth by helping our customers grow their business and building a best-in-class system, as well as a great place to work.</span><br><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">The <span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Business Development Manager</strong></span> will develop new retail broker relationships and grow existing relationships to achieve the goal of increasing the flow of qualified new business submissions for restaurants, hotels and cyber insurance products.</span><br><span style="font-size:14px;"><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;"><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></span></span><ul><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Work with Restaurant/Hotel Primary/Cyber Program Manager and Product Managers to develop and execute a detailed business plan to increase new business submissions and premium across all products.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Engage with current and prospective commercial insurance brokers primarily via phone, email and virtual meetings. Meet in-person with brokers when appropriate based on current production and growth potential.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Educate brokers on our underwriting appetite.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Pre-qualify/triage new business submissions.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Contribute product enhancement ideas to differentiate our products in the marketplace.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Provide and manage market intel and competitor information.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Coordinate business development activities with internal marketing team. Contribute ideas for marketing initiatives.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Communicate broker feedback to our Program Management and Underwriting teams.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Collaborate with other internal Sales teams and the Underwriting teams where appropriate for accounts which represent cross-sell opportunities outside of your assigned product portfolio.</span></li></ul><br><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS</span></strong></span><ul><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Minimum of 3 years of insurance career experience with demonstrated success selling commercial P&C insurance products at a wholesale, MGA, or carrier level.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Prior experience with insurance products targeting the hospitality industry (i.e., hotels, resorts, and restaurants) required.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of retail agency and brokerage operations.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Property/casualty broker’s license in state of domicile.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Proficiency in using industry standard metrics for tracking insurance sales and distribution results.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Thorough knowledge of applicable coverage, policy language, and risk management concepts.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with particular emphasis on Excel.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Bachelor’s Degree preferred.</span></li><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM.</span></li></ul><br><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">LOCATION</span></strong></span><ul><li><font face="Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif">Remote position based in the United States.</font></li></ul><br><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">COMPENSATION & PERKS</span></strong></span><ul><li><span style="font-family:Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;">$125,000 - $150,000 base salary plus lucrative commission.
