AI Engineering Team Lead

<div><div><p>Clario, part of Thermo Fischer Scientific, is looking for an AI Engineering Team Lead who will be overseeing the successful delivery of strategic AI initiatives across our portfolio.</p><p>This role combines technical leadership, project delivery oversight, stakeholder management, <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">and people leadership.</span> The AI Engineering Lead will guide AI Engineers and Software Engineers, translate business priorities into executable plans, and ensure high-quality AI solutions are delivered with strong outcomes for the business and our customers. </p><p></p><p><b>What We Offer</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Competitive compensation</span></p></li><li><p><span>Attractive benefits (security, flexibility, support and well-being)</span></p></li><li><p><span>Remote or hybrid working</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What You'll Be Doing</b> </p><ul><li><p><span>Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple AI initiatives, ensuring projects meet scope, timelines, quality expectations, and <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">business objectives</span></span></p></li><li><p><span>Mentor and support AI Engineers by setting clear direction, providing coaching, and building a <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">high-performing project team</span></span></p></li><li><p><span>Partner with stakeholders across product, science, clinical, operations, and engineering to define requirements, priorities, milestones, risks, and success metrics</span></p></li><li><p><span>Translate stakeholder needs into technical roadmaps, delivery plans, and resourcing strategies for AI-powered products and platforms</span></p></li><li><p><span>Guide solution design, software development, model integration, testing, deployment, and operational support across the AI project portfolio</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive strong AI research and engineering practices across the team</span></p></li><li><p><span>Coordinate dependencies, remove blockers, and communicate project status, risks, and tradeoffs clearly to leadership and stakeholders</span></p></li><li><p><span>Balance innovation and experimentation with execution discipline, scalability, reliability, and compliance considerations</span></p></li><li><p><span>Contribute to hiring, onboarding, team planning, and continuous improvement of delivery processes and engineering standards</span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What We're Looking For</b> </p><ul><li><p><span>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field </span></p></li><li><p><span>7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, machine learning, or related technical roles </span></p></li><li><p><span>2+ years of experience leading teams, technical programs, or cross-functional delivery efforts </span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated success delivering AI/ML or data-driven software solutions from concept through production </span></p></li><li><p><span><span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">Strong proficiency in</span> Python and familiarity with modern AI/ML tooling, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines </span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with <span style="overflow-wrap: break-word; display: inline; text-decoration: inherit; hyphens: auto;">cloud-based architectures and</span> production deployment of software or AI solutions </span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities </span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong people leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills </span></p></li><li><p><span>Commitment to high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions </span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, or other regulated environments is a plus </span></p></li><li><p><span>Familiarity with generative AI, LLM-enabled workflows, retrieval systems, or AI-assisted product capabilities is a plus </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p>At Clario, our purpose is to transform lives by unlocking better evidence.
